Giants of the sea: whales, dolphins, and their habits

Thomasson-Grant is publishing the English version of this and other similarly spectacular books originally, or concurrently it's not clear published in Italian (the Italian publisher and date are not noted). A biologist and a journalist wrote the text, which serves to organize, annotate, and amplify the glorious collection of photos. Types of whales and dolphins are clearly differentiated, with maps and drawings to supplement description of their range and habits. The format is big 10.25x14" its awkwardness justified by the intimacy that the big photos afford. All book production values are of the highest standard. Lacks an index and a bibliography.
